The Department of Pharmacy offers undergraduate (regular, non regular, and extension), professional (pharmacist), and postgraduate programs. The undergraduate programs consist of four years of study in classes and research. Research areas in the department include pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmaceutical biology, and Pharmaceutical technology.

To qualify as a pharmacist, graduates should undertake a one year of professional study program. Students are required to pass coursework in hospital, community pharmacy, pharmaceutical and traditional, medicine, and industrial pharmacy based in their fields of interest.

The postgraduate programs train to-day’s students to become tomorrow’s scientist in the fields of pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry/medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical biology, clinical pharmacy and social pharmacy.

All of these programs are designed to assist graduates to become experts in their related fields, such as hospital, community, pharmacy, pharmacy health care, pharmaceutical industry, traditional medicine industry, government and regulatory bodies. These programs are assisted by the availability of excellent facilities, such as e-library and laboratories.
