Friday (30/11), FMIPA UI Student Executive Board (BEM) held a UI Campus Tumbler Day event with the theme “Plastic Bottles, The Less The Better”.
FMIPA UI Student Executive Board from the beginning had the intention and intention to realize environmental friendliness in the scope of faculties, UI, and Indonesia. An interesting campaign has been carried out in several work programs and the success parameters can already be seen. Campus Tumbler Day is expected to be able to expand environmentally friendly campaigns, in this case, the reduction of plastic bottle waste.
This activity was initiated to continue the #YukPakaiTumbler movement that has been carried out in the FMIPA UI environment and received a fairly good response. It is also hoped that this event will be able to improve the campaigns that have been run previously so that it can have more impact on all elements of the Student in the UI environment.

Not only involving students in the UI surroundings, but also some visitors from outside the UI campus. What attracted the interest of many booth visitors was the presence of unique games in the form of “human snake ladder” and “water pong”.
Several prizes were provided. The gift has the meaning to invite others to live environmentally friendly. Some of the prizes include tumblers, stainless straws, food containers, and goodie bags.
A trash can made from plastic bottles donated by students was exhibited and used as props to encourage everyone to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles. No less important, the committee displayed a wall magazine containing data on the condition of the earth which was getting worse due to the presence of plastic waste.
Although many students in the FMIPA UI environment are starting to realize the threat of the dangers of plastic waste, especially plastic bottle waste, but it does not dampen the efforts of BEM FMIPA UI to strive to continue to innovate in bringing about environmental care in creative ways.
