The Doctoral Program aims to produce scientists who are independent, ethical, cultured, having capability to invent, create, update, and enrich the repertoire of knowledge through comprehensive and accurate research as contribution to the development and implementation of science, technology, art, and culture to solve the nation’s problems and/or to promote human civilization.
The Doctoral Program can be implemented through the pathways of: (1) Lectures and research, (2) Research.
The requirement for Doctoral Study Program is a minimum of 42 (forty two) credits, scheduled for 6 (six) semesters and can be held in at least 4 (four) semesters, or for a maximum of 10 (ten) semesters. Doctoral Programs, Study and Research Pathways can be fully held at the Universitas Indonesia or partly held at the overseas universities partner through International Mobility.
Study and Research Pathway Doctoral Program
The students are required to attend numbers of structured courses listed in the curriculum, with the value of at least 12 (twelve) credits and a maximum of 16 (sixteen) credits. It is compulsory for the students to issue scientific paper related to their research fields as the lead author, co-authored by Promoters and Co-promoters. This scientific paper must be accepted for publication in a reputable international indexed journals with the value of at least 4 (four) credits and a maximum of 6 (six) credits.
Research Pathway Doctoral Program
The students are required to attend seminars regarding the literature review, especially in reputable scientific journals related to their major research periodically, with a value of at least 5 (five) credits and a maximum of 8 (eight) credits.
It is compulsory for the students to issue scientific paper related to their research fields as the lead author, co-authored by Promoters and Co-promoters. This scientific paper must be accepted for publication at least in the SINTA 2 indexed national journal, with a value of at least 5 (five) credits and a maximum of 6 (six) credits. In addition, students are required to issue scientific paper or books related to their research fields as the lead author, co-authored by Promoters and Co-promoters which must be accepted for publication in a reputable international indexed journal or internationally prominent books publisher with a value of at least 5 (five) credits and a maximum of 6 (six) credits.
