Celebrate the 58th Dies Natalis, FMIPA UI Holds Fun Run

Friday (12/21) morning, the parking area of ​​the FMIPA UI dean building looked different, an area that was filled with private four-wheeled vehicles every day turned into a place of excitement.

Because that morning, more than three hundred FMIPA UI academics consisting of lecturers, students, employees, and alumni gathered to gather to celebrate the 58th Dies Natalis of FMIPA UI which fell right on that day.

Fun Run is the main agenda in FMIPA UI Dies Natalis celebration this year. the participants are none other than the FMIPA UI academicians who previously registered themselves for free by filling out an online form.

The event began with gymnastics together, guided by the instructor on the main stage.

The participants seemed very enthusiastic. In addition to being a gathering place, they also had the chance to win 58 entertainment prizes by becoming the 58 fastest runners.

The Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr. rer nat. Abdul Haris symbolically opened the competition by raising the flag to mark the start of the race.

Haris released hundreds of participants from the start line of the Dean of FMIPA UI to the water tower, the participants then passed the boulevard, hall, balaisidang, until they ended at the finish line of the FMIPA UI dean. Among hundreds of participants, Haris and his staff also appeared to take part in the fun running competition.

After the race, the winners have announced as well as the prize-giving directly by the Dean of FMIPA UI. Even though they looked tired, the participants were still happy.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI also gave symbolic awards to all students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI who succeeded in gaining achievements from academic and non-academic fields, national to international levels.

Cutting the Indonesian Rice Cone by the Dean, became the top of the FMIPA UI Dies Natalis series this time as an expression of gratitude. Haris also claimed to be proud to see the high interest of the FMIPA UI academicians in enlivening this event.

In addition to running, he continued, this event also became a place to have fun together to create a sense of family. He also appreciated the committee of activities which he said had carried out the task well.

“Hopefully, the sense of kinship among the members of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI will be increasingly close, good relations with alumni from various generations are also more awake, as well as partners,” said Haris.

In line with Haris, Rector of UI Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met., On the same occasion, in his speech, expressed his gratitude and pride for the achievements of FMIPA UI up to the age of 58 years. he said he hoped that FMIPA UI would be more advanced in the future, and gave birth to scientists who were reliable in responding to global challenges.

The announcement of the winners and several door prizes ranging from cooking utensils, skin care, mobile phones, and other electronic devices into the closing session of the event. The excitement of door prize distribution is accompanied by musical entertainment performances.
