The Head of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is the Dean and the Vice-dean, whose duties include carrying out overall management of the Faculty, carrying out education, research and community service, fostering academics (lecturers & students) and fostering relationships with alumni, both within the university and society. Dean Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia
Rokhmatuloh was born on January 4th 1971 in Tangerang, Banten Province. He graduated from Senior High School (SMU) 70 Jakarta in 1990. He got a bachelor degree from Department of Geography, Universitas Indonesia in 1996. He began his career as lecturer in Department Geography, with teaching subject on remote sensing and air photo interpretation.
After six years, he got the opportunity to continue his study at Chiba University, Japan supported by Monbukagakusho, Japan. Here, he enrolled at the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS)- Chiba University. During the period of his master’s study, he attended several local and international conferences. His research interests include radar speckle noise filtering, percent tree cover, global land cover mapping, and ground truth selection. His Ph. D degree in remote sensing also from Chiba University.
He teaches students both undergraduate, master and doctoral level with a focus on the application of remote sensing and GIS for disaster mitigation, regional development, environmental management, digital image interpretation, and data fusion.
