FMIPA UI once again participated in one of the annual activities held by the University of Indonesia, namely UI Open Days. This activity which has been carried out for the eighth time took place over 2 days, from Saturday (29/02/2020) to Sunday (01/03/2020) at the UI Campus, Depok.

In this activity titled “Independent Determine Your Future”, FMIPA UI performed in three sessions, namely exhibitions, presentations, and parent sessions.

The exhibition session became the main session in UI Open Days 2020, this session was filled by booths of all faculties, educational programs, and schools at UI, to present accurate information related to lectures in each faculty at UI starting from the D3-S3 program to the visitor.

FMIPA UI’s public relations monitoring team, in the FMIPA UI undergraduate booth area itself, was crowded with more than 500 visitors per day, the number was recorded on the attendance list, but not a few visitors also passed the attendance list.

High School students (SMA) dominate the number of visitors, even though there are also some parents of prospective students, even teachers who come to the UI FMIPA booth.

The most asked information in the booth area included entry, tuition fees, and study programs (Prodi), as well as prospects for graduates, particularly regarding Actuarial study programs.

The interest of the study program which was officially established at FMIPA UI since 2017 is still very high. And based on data collected by the UI New Student Admission Unit, actuarial is one of the most stringent study programs at UI with the tightness of 4.41% of 340 applicants through the SNMPTN pathway with the quota or capacity of 12 students, 11.24% of 178 registrants through SBMPTN with power accommodates 18 students, and 1.18% of 1,106 registrations through SIMAK UI with a capacity of 30 students.

Besides the Dean of FMIPA UI, FMIPA UI Education Manager, Dr. Ratna Yuniati gave a presentation session to prospective students on Sunday (March 1st, 2020) at the Main Stage of the University Hall, Depok.

UI Open Days is an introduction to educational programs and entrance courses at UI for prospective students in the Jabodetabek area and surrounding areas but it does not rule out possibilities from outside Jabodetabek.

The event, which was attended by more than 25,000 visitors, presented information on Regular S1, Parallel S1, S1 International Special Class, S1 Extension, Vocational (D3) & Postgraduate.

UI Open Days visitors are expected to get so much information from reliable sources about SNMPTN, SBMPTN, and SIMAK-UI.
