The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI) is organizing the 8th International Science and Mathematics in Academics Research Talks (ISMART), which will be held in a hybrid format. This annual event will be held by highlighting the theme of “Basic and applied science for shaping the future” in a hybrid format on February 7 to 8, 2023. The main purpose of this conference is to fulfilling one of FMIPA UI missions, which is to “Develop academics and research culture environment for the progress of science to create innovations and solutions in supporting the sustainable development.” Especially during this pandemic, where scientific breakthroughs are highly encouraged and necessary.
In the spirit of innovation, exchanging knowledge and experience, ISMART 2023 cordially invites Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Master and Doctoral Students, Scholars, and Academics to participate and submit their research to be presented in this conference.
Participants will have the great opportunity to showcase their research work and learning as well as gain invaluable scientific-related knowledge.

Preparing your manuscript to the 8th ISMART 2023
Article preparation checklist:
- Each manuscript must be 8-10 pages in length (including all figures, tables, and references) and must be written in accordance with the ISMART 2023 template.
- Prepare your manuscript in single-column template in English. All pages are portrait.
- The text is single-spaced. Use Times New Roman, the point size will vary by section.
- The paper includes the author’s names and affiliations and appoints one author as a corresponding author (preferably a supervisor should be the corresponding author).
- Do not add page numbers, or headers and footers, within the paper.
- Make sure that figures, images, and tables appear within the text, cited in the text, and make sure that all images and tables fall within the margins of the template.
- Use clear, legible graphics, and diagrams. The font, formulas, tables, and figures should be clear and easy to read. Avoid unnecessary grids and shadings in the figures/graphics/tables/diagrams.
- Number all tables, figures, and formulas sequentially. Place all captions or other information associated with a table, image, or figure on the same page as that table, image, or figure.
- Check all figures and images carefully to ensure that they are complete and that no parts are missing or cut off. All images and figures should be in .jpeg or .png format.
- If you have included previously published figures/tables in your article, you must provide written approval from the copyright holder to re-use the figure/table. Also, include the appropriate credit line associated with the figure in the caption.
Reference lists are checked for accuracy with CrossRef. Use the most original source possible and the most reliable source available.

How to submit your paper ?
No-show Policy
All the submitted papers will be reviewed by peer reviewer and only the selected paper will be included in the Proceeding of the International Science and Mathematics in Academics Research Talks (ISMART) 2023. The selected paper that will be published in the Proceeding must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. Papers which are not presented at the conference by an author shall be deemed “no-show”.
