The student team of Mathematics Study Program FMIPA UI won first place in Mathematical Modeling Competitions in the category of Product Estimation Problems. The team named EVA consists of Edbert Theda, Valentino Prasetya, and Abyoso Hapsoro Nurhadi.
In this competition, participants were given problems in the form of production data of several types of products from a company. The participant team to propose a model that can help the company to maximize profits based on market demand conditions and existing production capabilities. After elaborating on various potential models, the EVA team submitted a Time Series Linear Model, which eventually delivered them as winners.
The 2018 Mathematics Modeling Competition (MMC) is a series of 2018 Mathematical Challenge Festival (MCF) activities organized by ITB. This multinational level modeling competition was attended by around 200 institutions. The MMC ITB final itself will be held on Thursday, September 27th , 2018, until Saturday, September 29th , 2018.
